3M W8750 and 3M W8780 Protective Film

Polyurethane, transparent protective film for protecting the edges of rotor blades in wind turbines. Thanks to its flexible polyurethane layer, the tape perfectly protects against mechanical damage caused by rain, hail or sand. It is also resistant to puncture, erosion and UV radiation. The tape is flexible, thanks to which it perfectly adapts to the irregular, rounded shapes of the blade. A special acrylic adhesive perfectly adheres to the composite surface, holding the tape in place while allowing it to be removed whenever necessary. 3M W8750 and 3M W8780 protective films are an excellent protection of the edges of wind turbine blades against damage, which increases their trouble-free operation for many years and reduces the time needed for servicing, thanks to which the turbines work more efficiently. It is recommended to seal the edges of the tape with 3M W2600 adhesive to extend its life.
